The Hilde Performace Center

The HILDE PERFORMANCE CENTER, the new permanent stage at the Amphitheatre site, had its Grand Opening and Dedication at Music in Plymouth on July 2, 2002.

The Hilde Performance Center is a gift in the form of a donation to the PCL from former Mayor Al Hilde, Jr. (l968-78) and his wife Jayne; the PCL constructed the building and donated it to the City of Plymouth.  According to Hilde, "The term 'Performance Center' has a double meaning.  It honors those who performed high public service for Plymouth during it's critical transition years, and, it provides a venue for future performance by our citizens."
