Music in Plymouth Award

The Music in Plymouth Award presented by the Plymouth Civic League

The Music in Plymouth Award was created in 2012 to recognize individuals, groups or companies that have made significant contributions to the ongoing success of the event.

The 2016 recipient of the Music in Plymouth Award was Anchor Bank. Prior to the incorporation of the Plymouth Civic League (PCL), dedicated community leaders, including Anchor Bank (then 1st National Bank of Wayzata) realized Mayor Al Hilde, Jr.’s dream of bringing the Minnesota Orchestra to Plymouth was an ambitious goal and supported this project with generous corporate contributions.  Anchor Bank has been represented on the PCL board of directors continuously for 42 years, most recently by Roger Janikowski.  Mr. Janikowski is a member of the Finance committee and serves as a trustee and treasurer of the Endowment Fund. The PCL gratefully acknowledges the leadership and commitment of Anchor Bank and looks forward to working in concert for many years to come.

Previous recipients of this prestigious award have been (2012) Curt Carlson & the Carlson Family Foundation, and Al Hilde, Jr. former mayor of Plymouth and founder, with his wife Jayne, of the Music in Plymouth Endowment Fund, (2013) Daikin McQuay, (now Daikin Applied), (2014) MFRA, Inc. (now Sambatek), (2015) Omega Lithograph.
